There are no “sidelines” and no “bench” at Open Door Church Mountain View - everybody gets to play! If you're looking for a place to “get in the game” — we've got a place for you! Whether you're sure of your "call" or simply would like more information on any of the following ministries, you are invited to contact a team leader for information on how you can use your passions and gifts to serve our church family.
Learning and Worship
WORSHIP — Draw the congregation into worship of our wonderful God with your voice or your instrument during Sunday morning services and/or special worship events. Contact Josh Sturgeon, jsturgeon@mppc.org.
WORSHIP SUPPORT — Coordinate audio, video, lighting, technical issues, and equipment to support worship services and special events. Contact Josh Sturgeon, jsturgeon@mppc.org.
Belonging
CONNECTIONS — Help people find information or the right person to connect them with ministries that may be of interest to them. Answer questions at the Connection Center before or after worship on Sunday mornings. Contact Judy Lovejoy, jlovejoy@mppc.org.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES — Provide leadership and care for a small group in Shepherd's Village (infants-grade 5). Assist with registration, set-up/clean-up, administrative help during the week. Contact Chris Nicholson, cnicholson@mppc.org.
STUDENT MINISTRIES — Invest in the lives of Middle School or High School Students; assist with Sunday morning program and/or special activities. Contact Zack Aumiller, zaumiller@mppc.org.
SMALL GROUPS — Facilitate, host or participate in a small group study, coordinate community building activities, care of group members or small group service projects. Contact Lorie Reichel Howe, lrhbooks@live.com.
MOTHERS TOGETHER — Connect heart to heart with other moms of all stages. Lead a small group. Find community and support with others who understand the unique struggles of being woman and a mom. Contact Angelyn Knab, aknab@mppc.org.
Healing
PRAYER — Offer a listening ear and pray with people requesting prayer after services. Pray during the week for requests submitted to the prayer chain. Contact Dave Arnone, darnone@daylightsolutions.com.
MEN PURSUING PURITY — Find encouragement and deep healing from the pain and shame that comes with sexual sin. Claim the freedom to live and love in authenticity as the man God created you to be. Contact Craig Lauchner, craig_lauchner@yahoo.com.
Serving
HELPING HANDS — Put compassion into action! Pray for others and/or provide practical help: preparing meals, rides to medical appointments or lending a hand to those in need. Contact Angelyn Knab, aknab@mppc.org.
SERVICE OUTREACH — Coordinate quarterly service projects, providing our church family with opportunities serve our community. Contact Bridget McNiel, bridget_mcniel@hotmail.com.
GLOBAL MISSION — Lead or participate in a short term mission. Coordinate projects in support of global mission partners. Contact John Blaha, johnblaha@earthlink.net.
Ministry Support
COMMUNICATION — Use your gift with words or visual arts to keep people “in the know”. Prepare/edit/proof weekly e-mail content, occasional flyers/brochures. Contact Judy Lovejoy, mvcommunications@yahoogroups.com.
HOSPITALITY — Greet familiar and new faces with a smile as they arrive. Work with a team to arrange coffee and snacks. Contact Judy Lovejoy, jlovejoy@mppc.org.
